During our talk Catherine shared a few nuggets with me, the story behind Pefin and the reason for it’s creation. Its founder Ramya Joseph, originally created the company because her father lost his job and they couldn’t afford financial advice during a time when they really needed it the most. That experience etched the belief with in her that AI can be developed to be an affordable, yet personal financial advisory tool when people want it and need it. She believes in it so much that she self funded the company and the development of the technology for 6 years. We discussed this in detail.

Catherine was a featured speaker at the recent In|Vest 2018 conference in NYC and it was an honor to host her at our Wall Street studio.
