In this episode the host John Siracusa chats with Stephen Murphy, co-founder and the CEO of Genesis Global Technology.  Genesis, provides a global capital markets software with front to back capabilities across multiple asset classes and business lines.  As a fintech, POCs with a bulge bracket bank can be costly due to the amount of customizations they require. For an early stage fintech, POC’s can be a dangerous double-edged sword since founders need to properly balance revenues to customizations.  Too much customization and the startup can’t sell the product to anyone else, no revenue and the startup will fail. Genesis, turned the model on its head and made the custom POC a part of their product. They’ve attracted investors such as Illuminate Financial and Tribeca Early Stage Partners.
