Carpenter Group series continues to highlight companies living their brand values
As we prepare for Thanksgiving, we have a lot to be grateful for. In some ways, last year’s zoomed and socially distanced get-togethers seem part of another era. For the first time since 2019, families and friends will be together, in person, for the holiday—the way it’s meant to be.
But Thanksgiving during a national crisis—a war, a Depression, a pandemic—is always flavored with a special poignance. Even as we begin to regain normality in our lives, we recognize that COVID-19 is far from done with us and that prudence and common sense remain vital. So we continue to carry our vaccination cards and mini-bottles of sanitizer and avoid undue risk; we’re not ready to toss our facemasks or throw caution to the winds. Not this Thanksgiving. Hopefully next.
At Carpenter Group in April 2020, we launched our Brand Acts of Kindness series, highlighting companies living their brand values in addressing the unprecedented challenges facing the world. The series initially headlined companies assisting healthcare workers and first responders, as well as communities, businesses and families impacted by COVID-19. We’ve since broadened our focus to single out brands supporting social and racial justice, LGBTQ rights, sustainability and the environment.
Their stories show how innovation, resolve and action, built on a solid value proposition, can both strengthen a brand and create a better world. To date, Brand Acts of Kindness has covered over 75 companies. We are grateful—this and every week—for their efforts and the contributions they’ve made, and for the chance to tell their stories.
